Do I get a lot of comments: naw, but then I haven't really interacted with the community here in a long time!

Why I chose my username: My first username was VeniceGirl (eck); because I've lived in Italy and Venice is my favorite city. And also I was a girl??? (why, young me??) In 2012 I decided that sounded super juvenile and also I didn't particularly care for the "Girl" part, so I thought I'd keep Venice (especially since that's sort of become my nickname) and find something else to put behind it. Latte sounded okay. I actually don't like lattes. Latte is also the Italian word for milk. So basically, I'm VeniceMilk. iiiiiiiiiiii really sort of need a new username, maybe from scratch, but it seems a bit late to change it all now....

- AX is done and over with!! I had a great time, and made a decent amount of profit! Mostly I just sold a LOT of buttons, haha! I'd like to be able to get a table for next year, but of course that really depends on if we can snag one, and if I have the money upfront for it. c: We'll see!

- This is the month that our lease ends at our current apartment. We've been looking at a lot of apartments and houses, and only just got a place!! WHEW. So I really haven't had time for the rp group I just joined, which i'm kind of upset about, lmao. Of course circumstances turn out that way. But I hope to weasel back in maybe next month?? Boy it's been a stressful time.
But hey, we'll probably be "moving" on saturday/sunday. So that'll be nice! It's a really nice place in LA!

- Job searching. Oh boy. Now that the house-hunting is over with, this is the major thing I've got to take care of. It'd be REALLY IDEAL to have a job next month. I really really want a job. As much as I hate talking on the phone, I'll probably be calling after I send more resumes out... I just need something, lmao.

- Finishing up commissions! I got some to help with moving costs, and it took me some time to hit the ground running with those! But especially after the move where all I'll have to focus on is commissions and job searching, I'll be able to manage my time better!

I'm so excited to be doing Artist Alley at Anime Expo this year!! I've done two previous Artist Alleys (at a much smaller con, and the first time I didn't break even), but this is a BIG ONE. Wow. If you're there, come see me! I'll be sharing a table with two of my roommates, corycatte and junijwi... so even if you're not there to see me, come by to get something from them! Because holy cow, they are amazing???

Once upon a time I got tagged by SirSmudge and eloisejude.
Been a long time, so I figure I'd do those things now!

1. What one talent would you want to instantly be good at?
Singing would be really cool! I feel like "art" is a more realistic, but also cheat-y answer, since it's what I'm working on...
Actually, jk, self-defense/some sort of martial art.

2. What is your favourite webcomic/comic?
Whew boy. Well, here's a short list:
Vattu. Incredible story-telling/world-building.
Gunnerkrigg Court. Really good with weaving stories together.
Stand Still Stay Silent. Post-apocalyptic Nordic setting, incredible art (like whoa), updates every day except weekends? holy shit.
Cheese in the Trap. Fulfills my slice-of-life drama needs, super interesting character dynamics.
Most works by Natsume Ono. Love love love her style.
And Homestuck, but i'm not going to talk about that one.

3. If you could live in any video game world which would it be?
Wow, uh... well, I've always really loved Traverse Town (Kingdom Hearts).

4. What was your first 'original the character'? Are they still about?
Ahahaha, uh... I drew a lot of characters, but they were never re-occurring. My first "original characters" that I actually stuck with and had a story planned out for... god, I don't even remember their names (you remember them though). Jk, the boy was Kaylo, and he was a... warrior? Cool guy? Basically a stereotype of 'cool' teenage protagonists ahahaha. The girl... was an elf of some sort, with ~magic powers~. Boy oh boy. But those were fun days.
But no, they're not about and will never be again. Eternal rest grant unto them, o Lord.

5. If you could go for dinner with any book character who would it be?
Wow! Maybe... Brienne of Tarth.

6. Presuming the Mars One mission was safe and legitimate, would you leave this planet to be the first to colonise Mars?
MMMMmmmm nah. Only if close friends/family were going.

7. What would be your last meal?
Everything Spanish. Tortilla de patata, good quality chorizo, longaniza, our blood sausage, shredded tomato on good hardy bread, croquettes, cheeses, and lots of horchata to drink it all down.

8. What is your favourite obscure childhood movie? (basically something you might think others might not have heard of)
Every movie I watched as a kid isn't really obscure... besides movies that weren't my favorites, I guess. I'll mention instead that the anime series Heidi: Girl of the Alps featured prominently in my childhood, and I LOVED it. Obscure enough, it was never released for an english-speaking audience.

9. If you became a fahbulous Disney-esque villain what would your motivation be?
Pathetic jealousy.

10. Do you sing in the shower? And if so what song/tune in particular?
Songs from whatever shows I'm watching at the time, normally! There was a lot of game of thrones back in the day, now there's a lot of Steven Universe...

No way I can feasibly answer that... I like too much to be able to pinpoint something in particular.

Makes me feel like I'm worth something.

5) If you had 1 wish what would you wish for?
That would take some time to think through... if I could ask for something more far-reaching, like world peace... but I'm not sure that takes into account that people have always been assholes, and will continue to be. If a more self-serving wish is required, probably money. Become a full-fledged patron of the arts ahaha.

6) Favorite food ?
Spanish cuisine... but I also really like Thai.

7) Video Games? If yes what platform and if no why?
... Yes? Platform isn't that important to me. They all have their pros and cons. Though I like the controller for the ps2 and ps3 a lot.

8) Fast Food
In-N-Out Burger. That being said, moving to California marked a change in how often I ate fast food... I'd hardly ever eat any before doing so. I'm not sure I want it to become a thing for me, no matter how good it tastes. But we'll see lmao.

9) What is your dream project?
... A really... long webcomic/graphic novel, working in collaboration. That'd be cool.
Working on a short one-shot of my own for now. Slowly... ha.

10) What's your biggest fear or dislike?
Being alone. Also, spiders.

- Waist-up, flat color with a little touch of shading
- Backgrounds will be kept simple (often “halos” or shapes to act as framing, and otherwise transparent)
